I-5 has 3 lanes in each direction. This section of I-5 was widened in the late 1990s. There seems to be some type of construction project ongoing. It could be for an additional lane, but the bridges over CA-160 aren't being widened, so it must be for a pavement repair as the lanes will be shifted into the median while the existing lanes will be rebuilt. Taken on Feb 18 2012!!
