Best folk museum I have ever been. I just regret I have had not enough time to see everything in detail... Part of collection is whole park around with representation of everyday life with help of relocated old city center of Trondheim, relocated buildings from all around Norway each holding own exhibit (i.e. old Post office building has exhibit about postal services...etc)

Great museum and concept, but if you don't speak norwegian, only about a third of the information in the temporary exhibitions is available in English.

Great if you have kids. Lots of room to run around and great spot to picnic.

A very nice museum with lots of things to see. Note that most of the items are outdoors, so you'd probably want to go on a day with nice weather. Also many of the objects aren't that well marked themselves, so bringing one of those information booklets is a good idea.
You get an awesome view of the city and the surrounding area, but it's a lot of uphill walking to get there if you don't take the bus.
