Most beautiful park in Oslo. Interesting sculptures, but also a very nice park with lots of green and seasonal flowers. Nice for a picnic or a BBQ.

The grounds were stunning when I visited in late August as the roses were in full bloom. The sculptures are .... well, they're pretty terrible. Downright creepy in places, actually. A few are sentimental and worth seeing with your family, but they aren't beautiful by any stretch. The gnarly people obelisk at the pinnacle of the park is perched atop a Soviet-looking series of tiered restraining walls that contrast -- and not in a good way -- with the writhing human sculptures.

Go for the grounds and the flowers and peaceful attitude of the park. Bring some bleach for your eyes though -- the images of a dad kicking (catching?) an infant or men hitting women will not soon leave you.

Nice park. You can have a nice walk around in the park.
Never seen so many sculptures from naked people in one place.
All were different and all had a different meaning.
Also liked the gates with the figures in them.

Sculptures are really nice. They tell the story of the human body from birth to death, and does quite well so. A great place to just relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing in Oslo
