I've only visited this place during the Christmas season when this is effectively a factory for people having their Christmas parties with work (called julebord literally translated to Christmas table). The Christmas food was very good, but the place isn't the cosiest. It also gets pretty loud when it's full. So it's hard to have a conversation if you are more than four people. I don't think we'll be coming here for the next "Christmas table", but I'm sure it's nicer when it's less busy.

Just excellent! Amazing Norwegian cuisine, super quality, generous quantity, elegant presentation and friendly service. Very reasonable prices considering its Norway ;)

We ate the deer dish. It was fantastic! Very well prepared! Only reason I give it 4 stars vs 5 is the fact that it was a bit pricier than anticipated. If you go in expecting to pay 300 - 500 krones, then you'll have no problem. We definitely got the authentic Norwegian cuisine!

We went here for dinner in celebration of my wife's parents having been to the restaurant 47 years ago on their honeymoon. The staff was wonderful (friendly and knowledgeable) and the appetizers were excellent (a fantastic cauliflower soup and foie gras). Moreover, the bottle of wine that they suggested was great. However, I ordered a fillet Minton "true medium" and it came out and was served well done (kind of like shoe leather and completely ruined). Hence the two stars.

I was fearing a tourist trap but I was so wrong! Norwegian cuisine, rare nowadays, right in Oslo centre. The whale meat and the raspberry ice cream were nothing short of fabulous. Take a seat in the internal patio and enjoy an oasis of tranquillity and good food
