Maihaugen is a very interesting and nice visit. Would like to visit in the summer again when there are animals for the kids to see.

An open-air museum dedicated to preserving history of Norway's architecture from the 18th century to 21st century.

There are just few places in the word, where you said, I know it! I had it! It had my parents, or my grandfather ... Full century of our live, habits, fashion, technique, and culture in one big park and many houses. Have to see. Recommended.

Really nice open air museum. With lots of old buildings and with people who play to be persons from the time of the buildings they were in.
Great schoolteacher we had. Learned a lot about the history from Norway here.
Also had a delicious waffle here, the best one from our whole trip.

Has great potential but half the staff were miserable. Half of the buildings seemed to be closed for renovation, surely this could of been done at the start or the end of the year. The girl in the 70's house was awesome, friendly and great with the kids.
The girl in the 80's house just looked like she wanted to go home. When asked why the 90's house was closed she just said it's full of pine your not missing anything. The 00's house was also closed with no explanation.
Staff in the kitchen cafe were very unhelpful and seemed clueless as to what was going on. Was a great trip down memory lane but wish I could of seen the closed buildings.
