The first hot breakfast was cold, coffee and orange duce was not good, second hot breakfast was good, still coffee and orange duce not good, restaurant was good, room was also good. I would go back.

The hotel is conveniently located downtown Kristiansand, close to the ferry between Norway and Denmark. There is public parking close to the hotel, and the hotel also offers parking. The rooms has good standard and comfortable beds. Flat screen TV and mini fridge is also available. Bathrooms are modern and bright. This hotel is dog friendly.

Okay hotel. Somewhat worn down. Some rooms spacious and with a view, others small and an outlook to the wall. Comfortable beds and a nice included breakfast. One of the older and traditional hotels in Kristiansand.

This might be a Best Western Plus hotel but I must admit I was very disappointed when I saw our room. It felt as if we had been in a timewarp and were thrown back 30 odd years in time. This might have been a lovely room in the 1980's but as far as I know we live in 2017 (we had room 202 in case you wonder)
In the bathroom I noticed we were given a room for people with mobility issues, I am all for that, a positive point for this hotel but erm...the entrance into the shower cabin was so narrow that even I struggled to get in (and yes, I am slim!) how on earthe can someone who isn't that stable on their legs get in?????
The curtains...... they are placed pretty far away from the window so they let in a lot of light in the morning, fine when you need to get up early, not so nice when you would like to sleep a bit longer....
I did like the fact we had an electric kettle on our room so we could make our own coffee and tea, it's the first hotel in Norway where we stayed that offered this.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant, the restaurant look fresh, modern and clean. You can get the usual things like fried eggs and bacon, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, a good selection of cold meats, a selection of cheese, yogurt, cereals etc.
There are some parkingplaces outside the hotel (not many though) We opted to park in a carpark about 300m down the road (there is a small Esso petrolstation beside it, easy point to recognise) at a cost of NOK 180 for 24 hours.

Hotel Horge is part of Best Western Plus hotel. We chose this hotel primarily because it allows 4 persons in a room. We had both dinner and the complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was very good. We liked our stay.
