Tirdzniecības centrs "Origo"

A thing to keep in mind is that first of all this place is a train station. There are many much better venues to make a shopping in within a walkable distance from Origo. This place is crowded, dirty and filled with beggars. Being local, I avoid spending time here for any other reason but catching a train.

A shopping center that is within the central railway station. Offers all sorts of shops for a quick visit. But... the selection of shops is rather limited.

This shopping mall and Central train station of the city of Rīga is located in the same place.It is a little bit strange, because people usually is more focused on the trip not on the shopping.

It's the medium of newly arrived outsiders and of those who dwell in these territories for far too long without a shower. Also be aware of any "quick-hand in'n'out of your pocket" guys, they usually are in tracksuits. But if you turn a blind eye to it, than it's a nice chilly place to start a tour around the city.

Always crowded. Many beggars and sometimes people try to scam you for money. Even though it's a public place, you can see people using alcohol here and sometimes you need to fight trough cigarette smoke clouds.
Although, it has a grocery store "Rimi" inside working late hours, lines are not that bad if you are not here on busy hours. Good place to grab some cheap snacks before your train departures.
Origo has some restaurants and dining rooms too, post office, banks, clothing shops. But I'd suggest you going somewhere else unless you are in hurry.
