MUST GO! (The exhibit is closing at the end of the year!!!)
So according to my tour guide everything here is authentic but the building will be acquired by the government by the start of next year so I wanted to leave a review here as quickly as possible to benefit everyone who’s around the region to come visit.
Pretty dark history, and I would compared to the Vietnam/ Cambodia war in my region. The cells are pretty scary and the history was sad. I really like how they try to preserve as much as possible.
This is a rented place by the Museum people. Remember to buy the Information Booklet for €5 since this place is closing soon.

Great insights on the history of the KGB in Latvia. Highly recommended.

Authentic look behind the scenes of the UDSSR. Nearly all parts of the building and many original items of KGB are there and in good condition. But the best was our tour guide who let us have a complete and interesting information about the KGB and especially about this building - perfect!!

Hidden gem hidden away at the side of the city, referred to as the Corner House. Great place to learn about history of Riga and unfortunately the sad and brutal history with KGB in control in the past. Guides were good and you get to see the rooms that KGB used to interrogate, detain and even kill people. Since they are not fully renovated and scrubbed clean, the aged rooms feel very authentic and eerie at the same time. It is very meaningful and it gives a bigger context when you walk around Riga and Latvia, looking at the solemn but quietly optimistic grandmothers with their grandchildren at the park, you can feel their optimism and contentment in their lives and hope for the next generation. If there's only one museum you could visit in Riga, I highly recommend this one.
