The hostel is decently cleaned everyday, but being a hostel the other guests can make up the rest of the experience.
The beds, linings, and clothes do smell and has not been changed despite posting on the walls saying bed linen changes will happen.
Computer room is available to use but requires username and password, which isn't given out upon check in.
Perhaps the biggest issue is the hostel management that refuses to allow people to change rooms, upgrade to another room of higher quality and price. Some guests say that Caucasians are preferred but I personally have seen other Caucasians also being in the same floors as us.
Reception is cheerful, say hello to them. They also have umbrellas for guests of Turiba hostel to use. There is also a barber shop, but it doesn't open on the weekends, that is of good value and the hair stylist can communicate in English too.
Be kind to the cleaning ladies, they are actually wonderful people if you chat with them!
