Ottawa Arnprior & Parry Sound Railway siding, built in 1892. It had a train load of lumber from Algonquin P.P. through here every 20 minutes in 1910.
Ottawa Valley Railway (OVR) built in 1881-2 as part of CP's trans-continental line from Smith Falls, through Renfrew, Pembroke, Mattawa to Sudbury with a branch line to Temiscaming Que. It was abandoned from Renfrew to Pembroke in 2011 and Mattawa in 2012. It had 483 km. of tracks. CP now routes all it trans-continental traffic through Toronto, north to Parry Sound and Sudbury, The steel is worth $50 million. The railway was worth more dead than alive. Looking north.
