This Main Gate Pillar is all that remains of Victoria's first Lunatic Asylum [1848-1926]. It was converted to a Venereal Diseases Clinc [1926-1956], and then became the Fairlea Women's Prison in March 1956 - Alfred Hospital Helipad fotogalleri
