A great place for a local history lesson. See how they lived hundreds of years ago, in your own neighborhood. The Austin log cabin has been renovated, but still has places in the current structure where the foundation & original chinking and daubing can be seen. There's a collection of Fitch high school yearbooks spanning decades in the upper bedroom. Plenty of examples of the many simple machines that were necessary for everyday life throughout the history of the property. Can be seen in under an hour staff is courteous and friendly and also knowledgeable about the property and contents Within. They're open afternoons, on the first Sunday of every month, only.
