I used to go here. They kept messing up my orders. I kept telling the owner something has changed. Maybe a new cook? He said just send it back. I am not going to send back my meal every time I patron a restaurant. So I stopped going. Omelettes are flat, not fluffy. Coffee is decent.

Cheri was our waitress who has the best personality and customer service that I have received. I always request her section to sit in. I even called to see if she was schedule before making plans to dine at Mel's tonight.
I had a turkey club sandwich which was good but would be better with cheeae. Opted for onion rings which were tasty.

After playing golf in 90° weather, we were looking forward to a great meal. I have been here numerous times for golf or sports. I was not disappointed. We had Stephanie for our server. She was new to night shift. I had the senior sirloin steak. The salad was crisp, the baked potato was good, but the steak was only semi tasty. It was tender and lean. Right after we ordered, the reader board showed a prime rib special. Stephanie was not told about this, but when she came back with the info, she was bringing us our food. From the time we ordered to the time we got our food, we didn't even have time to finish our salad. Will be back again, but will make sure about the prime rib first. Great staff, good to great food, and great 60's atmosphere.

Very good food made with quality ingredients at very reasonable prices, in a 50's style diner. We stopped for a late lunch on a whim. Our server was a sweet and bubbly gal (I believe she's a manager). We both had burgers that were very filling, obviously the meat was high quality, huge onion rings and generous portion of fries. We left full and happy (didn't have room for desert), we'll definitely return again next time passing through.

We had a party of 10 for breakfast at Mel's Diner. We were seated quickly and really enjoyed the food. There's something for everyone on this large, classic diner menu. I had one of my usuals: A hamburger patty & eggs with cottage cheese, the classic diner diet plate. The Kobe beef patty was perfectly cooked, moist without being greasy with spot-on over medium eggs. I was being good about my diet and highly satisfied with my meal...but my aunt's Chicken Fried Steak was so flavourful & tender, I have to admit being quite jealous!
Prices are great - you can average just around $10 with coffee!! The Senior menu is a great deal. Service is spot on. I would have given them a 5 - but the bathroom needs SERIOUS overhauling. Not good.
