Do not come here for compounding work.
I went to this pharmacy to get a nitrate compound for fissures. At $70 I expected some significant results, and for the first week or so the compound worked great, in spite of the fact that it gave me awful headaches. Well, after that first week I noticed the medicine became less effective and my headaches became milder. I thought I was building up a resistance to the medicine, but then the next week there was no effect at all. No healing, no headache, no sensation when I applied the cream, nothing. It took me a while to realize what had happened: I had been given about a week and half's worth of medicine stacked on top of empty placebo cream to fill up the bottle. Only the very top of my compound had any medicine in it at all, the rest was just filler.
I had my hypothesis confirmed when I got my prescription refilled at a different pharmacy. When I applied the new compound it was exactly like before, I could feel it numbing my skin and a headache set in soon after. There's no doubt that King's Pharmacy ripped me off, and not only that but they even overcharged me. Cape Fear Pharmacy gave me the same meds for $17 less. I only just started using the cream again so I don't know if I've been scammed a second time yet, but I know for sure that King's is run by filthy criminals out to rip you off without any regard for your health. All I can do now is warn people not to make the same mistake I did: avoid this place.

I went to Kings for the first time last week. I was welcomed by an associate who then tended to a customer on the phone. I have to admit I overheard their conversation and was impressed with the level of customer service from the associate. She offered to meet the customer off site to deliver her medication as they were closing in 20 minutes. You will never find that level of customer service in any chain pharmacy. It's safe to say I will now be transferring all of my prescriptions to Kings.

Undoubtedly the best... Mr King and his staff are home town professionals that are uniquely personable and extremely knowledgeable. The type of business that is relationship based. You're not simply a customer with a number being processed, ("NEXT"). Kings Pharmacy reminds me of stories my grandmother would tell me of how the doctor would make house calls and was usually close to his patients thereby being an advocate for their health and well being. Kings Pharmacy most certainly maintains this level of service. A business where you are known by your name, not a number..... Where you feel like family. That your pharmacist actually cares about you and is assisting in managing your medications thereby in fact, protecting your health. It is refreshing to be a customer of a business that is this committed to it's customers and their care. A business model that seems to be long gone. Thanks to you all at Kings for helping me through tough times where your attention and care have helped enormously in my recovery and healing.
