I received a position in their after school program last year and after working one day I quit. While I can not speak to the gymnastics part of the facility, I can say that the after school program is a nightmare. I worked in a nursery for three years as well as another after school program at the YMCA for a year and I was appalled by Carolina Gymnastics Academy's program. They do not take head counts of the children, within one day they lost track of multiple children, and the working environment between staff is very hostile. They did not require background checks or drug screenings before hiring, they hired me on the spot with very little information, which concerned me. Some of the equipment was sharp and rusted, one of the children admitted that she has cut herself on the equipment before. Some of the staff members were very rude to the children, and took very little interest in interacting with them, and paid very little attention to them overall, again very concerning and borderline negligent. Also the most concerning part of all if that the staff turn over is so high there ( for obvious reasons) that some of the staff is not familiar with the parents and let the children go home without verifying the parents identity. If I were a parent I would never send my child here, and while I was only there for one day I know a friend who worked there for almost 6 months and confirmed all of my initial concerns and more.

My 8 year old LOVES to go there for after school care. She gets a ton of exercise and the staff is great even though they are young.
Only down side is having to pay a "registration" fee twice a year but I have still referred other parents here for after school care.

Took my 17 month old daughter here today based on a recommendation from someone else. Nicky was so friendly when showing us around and telling us about the Watch Me Play program. Monday through Saturday between 9 and 11am, children from 6 months to 5 years old can play in the gymnastics area for $6/day or $25 for a 5 visit punch card. Children are supervised by their parents and the room is a shoe free zone. Nicky gives children a sticker when leaving. The gym was very nice and clean. It was a nice way to get out of the house and allow my daughter to get some active play in, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We got the 5 visit punch card so that we can begin going regularly.

Love Carolina Gymnastics. It is a fun safe enviroment for children to learn and play. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My five year old has been here a year and enjoys it so much on the Tiny Team. I also have a two year old who loves the gym and learn in the mornings. I would recommend this gymnastics academy to everyone.
