Bill Heinberg Insurance is the reason why so many people choose local businesses over giant competitors. After a horrible experience with Geico, I decided to choose BHI instead and was immediately impressed, within a few hours I had a lower rate. With friendly, attentive and personal customer service - the entire staff makes an effort to get to know you. BHI slashes the stereotype of insurance being a greedy industry that's out to get you. I've always gotten the lowest rates, prompt service, and a true advocate on my side whenever anything has gone wrong. You don't get that with Geico!

I am an Insurance Agent living in Wilmington. When I asked some of my fellow agents who I should Insure my autos and new home with the gave an enthusiastic reply.

NIce to have a local insurance agent, but it was more of a hassle.
They helped me set up my credit card to autodraft the payment, but almost every month, I would get a notice that my insurance was cancelled because of non-payment.
I'd call them to reactivate it, and go into the next month thinking that my credit card was finally set up to Autopay. This cycle continued for another few months.
I sold my truck and called to cancel my policy. told them I was going with GEICO coverage for my new van. Everything seemed good. I moved and thought I was done dealing with this company. A few months later, my mother said there was mail for me at her house from a collection agency. $35 cancellation fee from Universal Insurance for not proving that the truck I sold was going to be insured by someone else.
Why did they not ask before. or warn me of the fee. Or able to get the autopay working. Now the collection agency sent another notice and I feel so tired of this company that I feel compelled to write this review. hopefully I this nightmare will end soon.
concluding thoughts: Andrew who works there was very nice, but the inconvenience and stress of dealing with this company and cancellation notices and fees made this a horrible experience. My time with GEICO has been such an easy breeze and support, autopay, and covereage prices are excellent.
