This is the best Bar BQ in KS. Been going to every sence it was on Central little bitty place. Over 30 years

Sadly isn't a drive through building anymore but the food is quite great and the owner is super nice and friendly. Prices are great. Ill definitely be returning.

This is top-notch BBQ. I enjoy lunch here with friends and family at least once a week, always look forward to it and have never been disappointed.
Expect everything to be cooked perfectly and your dish to be prepared at point of purchase. Yes, it's a one-man show, so you might have to endure friendly conversation and the mouth-watering aroma of what those before you have ordered as you wait (pity, I know). Prefer to drive through? No problem, the restaurant is situated in an old firehouse and you may quite literally drive through it.
My suggestions: The "Jester" (try it as it is with beef or switch that out for pork), the "Dave", or the rib dinner, and no trip to Jet is complete without a side of baked beans. Heck, the beans alone make the trip worth while.
I need to stop writing before I get too hungry. Go to Jet!

Jet is a staple of my group's lunch places in Wichita. We try to eat at Jet every Friday we can. Jet is the best Bar-B-Q place in the city. The brisket is amazing and of the highest quality. The ribs are to die for, and just fall off the massive bones. The hotlinks are spicy, but not too spicy. Any person who declares themselves a link connoisseur will not be disappointed. The sides are great, I especially enjoy the slaw. On top of the great food, you get to eat lunch inside a firetruck. Yep, you read that right, a firetruck. Who wouldn't want to eat the city's finest Bar-B-Q'ed meats in a firetruck? I can't think of anyone, except maybe a vegetarian. But even then, they could get some slaw and potato salad just to sit in the firetruck. Which if you're a vegetarian reading this, as odd as that would be, do that. The firetruck is that awesome, you won't be disappointed.

We waited an hour in the sun while they filmed BBQ crawl here. They spent 10 minutes taking a customer's order, preparing it before taking the next order. The one guy who does everything gives priority to drive thru orders, ignoring those who've been in line for an hour. Will never return.
