Often-overlooked tribute to 400 years of (admittedly interrupted) friendship between the people of America and Germany. Beautiful foreground for a picture of the White House!

Its a nice little garden that along the mall. I thought it would have some information plaque, etc or something more about German-American relations, but alas.

Nice architecture. A man with an accent complimented my schvantz. Was this part of the show? Next time he should speak more slowly. Only giving 4 stars.

I like the approach, will recommend to all my German friends visiting.
As active Hessian Reanactment member of the American Revolution , Regiment von Donop, we live the great history of the first Germans coming over. 3 Families of my ancestors came over to the US of A in 1843-45, but no trace could be found.
We have to teach more the good things of our German-American History - Friends help Friends, even in rough times.
