I went to Dave and Busters Va beach on a saturday night. First off when you walk in the door no one greets you. There is little clues as where to go when you want to eat at the restaurant. We sat ourselves. Most of the free tables were dirty. They brought out the food at different times, so as we were almost done with ours when the last person got hers and it was cold. You can see your waitress eating at the bar when you're still waiting on silverware to eat the salad they brought with. The tables and menus are sticky. Overall the food itself was good taste wise. The drinks were weak and over priced but tasty. The waitress was nice but we could never find her, unless we saw her eating at the bar. Some of the employees were too concerned with watching the sports games than working. The prize area was super messy. Some of the games didn't work. If I managed this business I would have been ashamed.

Okay, story time: the guys working the games are tight af. Bartenders not as much. I can only buy one drink at a time. Saturday night, it’s popping. Come to buy some multiple drinks for my friends with out a problem. Come to do it again. Red head bartender girl stops me and says “I [emphasis on ‘I’] can only serve you one drink at a time”. I’m like “cool, whatever”. Another bartender asks me for a drink and I buy another drink for him. I get my drinks and go about my way. And then when I try to get another drink. Same red head bartender told me and her other bartender friends she wasn’t going to serve me another drink. Minutes later, my friend couldn’t buy any more drinks because she was friends with me (for all they know I just met this person). And what really irks me was that. All of the other bartenders have been giving me multiple drinks in one sitting without any trouble. Either red head girl was full of it, or all the other bartenders are breaking your guys’ rules. Because I thought it was alright to buy multiple drinks at once, AND from different bartenders.

I have been here a couple of times this year. The first time was not so good, I do not feel like it is an upbeat atmosphere like I would expect to find and the majority of my expensive food sat uneaten because it was cold and soggy. I decided to give them another try after this experience since everyone has an off day but it only made my view of them even worse. The second time I went to have a drink with a girlfriend, but, an older gentleman, who I believe was a manager, advised her that because of a VERY slight scrape/crack in her drivers license she would not be able to order anything even though she was a decade over the legal drinking age as printed on her drivers license. Needless to say I will spend my money elsewhere with better food, better service and more attentive managers. I would highly suggest that this poorly run facility look in to a machine that can verify the age of a customer by sliding their drivers license and perhaps a manager who is not so quick to make assumptions about their customers. It bothers me to even award them 1 single star.

Came on a Wednesday and the place was understaffed, but wasn't even packed. The staff told my wife and I that we couldn't sit in the booth area because they were short staffed. After sitting in the bar area we see two 4+ families go right up after us and sit in the booth area. After waiting for quite a long while for our menus we were able to order our drinks. The waitress was really nice and professional. The shift manager was also nice and came by multiple times to make sure we were good. The ribs I had were salty but bearable.

Very fun place to be! The place has all of the latest and greatest arcade games and quite a few classics. The food is great and customer service was overall pretty good. I do wish the prize store had a little more selection but overall it was fairly decent. This place was definitely a great stop for our Virginia Beach vacation! Dave and Busters has something for people of all ages!
