Heard great things about Mumphord’s but we were extremely disappointed. The brisket and ribs were very dry and lacked seasoning. The barbecue sauce was too sweet, the green beans were frozen and the potato salad was mashed potatoes with potato salad fixings. Would not recommend and will never be back.

Came here and wow this place was excellent. Ordered the 4 meat plate and I was very satisfied. If you are in Victoria Texas this place is a must.

The brisket was so tender you didn't even need a knife. It was excellent. The sausage was delicious also. Highly recommend Mumphord's for either lunch or dinner.

Another great BBQ joint to add to your list! Brisket is almost in your mouth good. Ribs are awesome. The sausage could use a little improvement. Let's move to the sides now. Only 4 choices, but you don't want a huge selection to take away from the stars of the restaurant, the meat! I don't like cole slaw so I haven't tried it. Potato salad seems home made, very good. Pinto beans are "ranch style", also very good. Now we get to the best (imo) side here, the green beans. They are some of the best tasting green beans I've ever had. Very garlicky, and buttery. If you ever find yourself in Victoria, this is a must stop for you.

Historic building with antiques, trophies, and other artifacts set the atmosphere. The barbeque chicken was good but a bit on the dry side. Barbecue sauce is on the sweet side with a honey-like consistency. The coleslaw was good and the pinto beans were nothing special. The plate meal comes with 2 slices of white bread, pickle slices and onion.
