Waitress Sarah was amazingly great. Offered several different options. Sushi came out quick and was good for the price.

When I set up a reservation for a Sunday dinner a week early because I'm trying to be smart, but the day before when I call to confirm everything is still good and I'm told, "We are actually not open on Sundays." ... What?!? Me: "Since when?" Employee: "Since last week. I think the person who took your reservation didn't know that." They should have known that.
Also, if indeed you have decided to stop opening on Sundays, could no one take the time to call me (I did leave my phone number with the reservation.) to apologize for the misunderstanding? You have had my reservation info somewhere for a week.
It also does not say anything about you being closed on Sunday online, so you need to update that.
My friends and I love Shoguns food, and we will continue to eat there. I am just very disappointed. The other Shoguns in Tyler is open on Sunday, so thankfully I was able to make the reservation over there.

As a Japanese steakhouse it is definitely worth a visit but where this place really shines is sushi. Undeniably the BEST sushi happy hour maybe anywhere. Super high echelon fresh fish being used and the prices are RIDICULOUSLY cheap compared to anything in major cities. 2$ for half California roll fresh made! Try the Shogun mustard sauce. Happy hour from 4-6 monday-friday.

If it's sushi you want don't get a table sit at the counter in front of the sushi action. Our first time here won't be out last. Haley our server was wonderful. Juan our sushi chef was amazing. Highly recommend this place.
