I go to this restaurant regularly for lunch. The buffet is a good deal and runs from 11:00 to 1:00pm. I would say it is slightly better than Panda Express. Nothing magical but good and downtown. I would suggest you get there early for the buffet or the food tends to get a bit stale closer to 1pm. However, if you tell them they will always make it fresh for you. I usually order off the menu however and it is always good and fast. Never had a problem with this place and I have eaten here probably 20 times this year.

About a year ago we stopped going to Rice House. The greasy food was geting out of hand and the people working there were clueless and borderline rude at times. But this past week we found ourselves downtown for dinner and we thought maybe things have changed...maybe the Rice House was back to the restaurant we first enjoyed. We were wrong! It was a little after 7:00 and no one was in there. We walked up to the counter to give the guy our order. When he saw us he grabbed his pad of paper to take our order and slammed it down on the counter. He rolled his eyes and asked us what we wanted with a nasty attitude. The eye rolling and attitude continued as we tried to give our order until my husband looked at me and said "let's forget it". I told the guy that his attitude was horrible...as we walked towards the door he said "boohoo" in a winey voice. I don't think I've ever felt so unwelcome at a restaurant in my life! We're done with Rice House for good...I guess we'll never find out if their food is still greasy and I can live that!

I got the general cho chicken. It wasn't too hot but it was nice an crispy with the perfect amount of glaze. The noodles are a little greasy but over all good food for a low price.

Decent food, reasonable prices for downtown... HOWEVER, they have two flyers for Occupy Tucson in their storefront, so today I walked right on by and went to Eat-a-Burger instead, which is amazing if you haven't tried it yet.
