The lost connection to the old courthouse is frustrating. Hopefully that is opened up again after construction.

Usually the only time i come here is for tucson meet yourself. This is a must attend event in my opinion. Even if you leave outside of tucson. Hundreds of thousands of people come here over 1 weekend.
The event is mainly for food and culture from all the different communitys in tucson: mexican, Brazilian, Chinese, Russian, Turkish (yes of course the turkish food is the best, shameless plug :D. )
Cost: free entree
Parking: anywhere in downtown, usually $10
Family friendly: big yes
Month of event: every October
Veggie options: yes all over
Lest crowed time/ day: mornings/friday
Most crowded time/day: evening/saturday

Beautiful plaza shaded and cooled by mature trees. A large waterfountain also helps make this a pleasant place, even on a hot day. It is a great location for large events.
