Wait staff was good, not great but good. The restaurant itself was what really was wrong this visit. The table and utensils were clean but small things around the restaurant were nasty. (like the top of the fish tank, the plastic lining on bottom of the booths was peeling off bad, ect) food was ok kinda underwhelming. Spicy roll was not spicy at all. All in all would choose different sushi/steak house over ever coming back here.

Waited 30 min to be seated after calling ahead and they said it was a 10 minute wait . Sat at the table over an hour before being served . We had 10 people on our side of the table and four on the other . side they divided the same amount of rice amongst the 10 people that they Did to four people. Portions were way off! We could smell the difference of meals between the chiefs, and our chief did not cook our meals well. Others on our side of table noticed as well. I️ shared a meal - shrimp and chicken , the 3 piece I got and the 3 pieces of shrimp my daughter received did equal one meal of the 14 pieces my other daughter had?? Not worth the price of the meal at all! Never going back .

I haven't had a bad experience at Japanica and we have been here now multiple times. Our food has always been tasty and we have not had to wait extra long. The food is not delivered within 5 minutes but I prefer that as I want my food cooked to order. I love their buy one get one sushi rolls and we customize it as we please without a problem as well. I have introduced my daughter, husband and mom to here and they all have enjoyed the offerings. Their sushi prices are really good compared to other places around town too and I enjoy their drinks as well. Great place to have a family meal.

Lunch special is really good. Choice of 5 rolls for $10. Its really half a roll but its nice having 5 different types. The sushi is not spectacular but for the price it taste good and the sushi is always good quality. If you want sushi on a budget this is the place to go.

Went to get dinner on a Saturday night in June 2017 based on reviews and service was extremely poor despite it not being busy. We ordered regular sushi and some side fried rice and side chicken. The sides did not come out till we mentioned it to another waitress or they forgot about it. $8 for some fried rice that only had chicken as the ingredient was not even worth it. The regular sushi rolls were really tiny as well. Ambiance was okay. We would recommend Sakura over this place any time. It's not worth driving out all the way for such an experience. Oh and yes, the waitress just dropped the check on the table after processing the card payment. The 1 star review is for the fact that the other waitress at least helped us out and also offered us some rice for the chicken side dish, and sauce for the chicken fried rice.
