My fiance who is 35 years of age had a massive heart attack that was so severe that tomorrow wasn't promised. He was instantly admitted and taken care of. The nurses that we had were very nice, respectful, and comforted me through the times I cried, and worried. They assured me when they can that he is okay. They made sure we understood the medications he was being given, and procedures. The heart attack caused alot of problems he had 1 Liter of fluid built up in both lungs and a leakage in the mitral valve. We got sent home after being there a week and two days. The Mitral Valve Leakage became a bigger problem and only spent two days home. He had heart failure and needed a Mitral Valve repair. We spent all of october there and don't regret any of this because now he is in better shape and I'm happy to have him on this earth with me. Throughout this entire month everyone was good to us, the housekeepers, the nurses, doctors, and surgeons. Plus no complaints on the food. I'd would recommend this place to everyone.

right now - 10/19/17 7:59pm - the girl answering the phone in the surgery waiting room is a complete ditz. a giggler. should not be in position of responsibility. should not be answering phones or questions about patients in surgery. the position needs someone who is an adult, who knows how to speak - use the correct words and respond to people calling abut patients.

If I could give their emergency room a zero rating I would. I will NEVER go this emergency room again. I went in with severe chest pain and the place was packed with people. They slapped a bracelet on me, took me back to a room, gave me an EKG, blood test and x-ray. They told me to go back out to the waiting room and they would call me when they had a bed available. I arrived at 2 p.m. and never got a bed until 8 p.m. My spouse asked them why I wasn't being seen by a cardiologist asap and they said there wasn't one in the emergency room and I would have to settle for a general physician. Why didn't they call one in???? There were other people coming in with chest pains and they had the same situation. NO cardiologist available. They finally gave me a bed at 8 p.m. I saw the on-call physician and he ordered another set of blood tests and EKG. He said the X-ray and previous tests came back fine. I asked for a Motrin for the pain and they never brought me one until 45 min. later after I begged them for it. They came in at 11:00 p.m. and said that my second tests came back negative and I could go home. SERIOUSLY???? Talk about inept. I was there for 9 hrs. for nothing. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Terrible follow through with doctors and nurse practitioners, no information, my daughter had to beg for information and they don't even care. The nursing staff is excellent, very kind and attentive. I recommend finding another hospital where doctors and Nurse practioners actually communicate with families and answer questions.
