I had a 12 hour brain surgery in 2016, and I'm so lucky to have had Dr. Chicoine as my surgeon. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He's extremely knowledgeable, and his technical ability is excellent. Every staff member I've spoken with at Barnes has said he's a genuinely nice person, and very good at what he does. You're in good hands with Dr. Chicoine and the Barnes hospital staff. Great people!

Aug 28, 2010 Dr Chicoine saved my life.
I had a major stroke in may 2010, was learning to walk and function and he kept me in rehab 3 months and because a huge aneurysm was found left mca, in my brain, he open my head and clipped it. He was a savior and so kind to me and my family. I was in Barnes Jewish awhile and I had some time out of my mind. Dr Chicoine took the greatest care of me. It's now 7 years and I am still slowly getting better. Thank you for my life. Mary

Dr. Chicoine did a phenomenal job on my wife's craniotomy. Her recovery is coming along great, his bedside manners are excellent, and his care for her shows his compassion. 5 stars doesn't do justice in my opinion, 10 is more like it.
