I had two horrible ER experiences here that still haunt me. The first time I was there the doctor was so rude to me, she actually rolled her eyes when she diagnosed me with a pulled back muscle and kidney stones. When I was asking her for more information about my diagnosis because I had never had kidney stones before, she told me to go home and Google it. Her bed side manner was the worst I had ever seen. I was so upset I requested a new doctor. Instead, her nurse come in and sedated me even though I said no to that. I never got a new doctor and she continued to come in the room and be very passive aggressive and unkind. My boyfriend was shocked. I never got to talk to a new doctor (which was my right). My second experience was for my 3-year-old Son who had croup. To my horror it was the same doctor and nurse. They didn't recognize me. This woman looked at my crying son and said, "I don't have time for this" as she forcefully shoved steroids down his throat. No compassion. Not good care. Don't go here!!

We received excellent care in the ER. Everyone we dealt with, from nurses to techs to doctors, were professional, kind and proficient.

The staff at Valley Hospital are always very helpful to me. They have always been kind and responsive. I also like that Valley Hospital is so close to home and easy to get to.

11 days ago I went in to the ER with HORRIBLE back/leg pain. 9/10 on their pain scale. The staff was friendly and they gave me three prescriptions; predisone, Motrin, and a litre dose muscle relaxer.
No imaging was done.
No blood was drawn.
The pain got MUCH worse. Per their instructions I went back in. The staff last night refused to image. I was discharged STILL in crippling pain.
I saw my primary care today. I was given an injection and told if I wasn't feeling much better in a few hours to head up to sacred heart. Two hours later, I was writhing in pain. Went to sacred heart.
Last night, due to pain that was not being managed, I didn't make it to the bathroom. Pain level was a solid 10/10. It was unbearable.
Within 15 minutes, I was in the back, had an iv, pain medicine, and scheduled for a mri. I didn't have to argue with anyone. They just took care of me.
Result, HERNIATED DISKS! Valley Hospital missed HERNIATED DISKS! It's incompetence at best and gross negligence/ medical malpractice at the worst.
If you have any option to do so, avoid this emergency room. Unless you REALLY like pain.

Dislocated a shoulder that has been rebuilt twice, was in worst pain of my life and they couldn't even help me manage pain before trying twice, and failing, to put my shoulder back under tension. Worst experience of my life as far as hospitals go. You are better off going to Sacred Heart and waiting 5 hours. Doctor at Valley wouldn't answer my questions and walked out of the room as I was talking to him, he was extremely cold, during my whole visit. The nurse was actually the one who massaged out my tight muscles and put my shoulder back. She was calming and delightful. Only other positive is their registration team is quite pleasant.
