Just a dark dreary hole in the wall, with very rude service. Not planning to return. Shot over to the High Neighbor beings I had my 75yr old mother with me, and had a great time after leaving this dump. Go High Neighbor!!

These guys bank on the fact that this is a classic spot in town for legal connections, and seem to justify their prices by the fact that they're close to the arena. Poor service, way, way overpriced food. The captain's platter for instance would likely cost you 6 bucks and be better almost anywhere else. It's a couple deep fried things on a plate with a tiny salad. If my memory serves, we spent 15 bucks on it thinking we could share. Nope. You have to do quite a bit for the waitresses attention, and they often act put out. I end up here more than I would like to admit, and the above is consistent with every occasion. I would never come here if it weren't for invitations from others.

Oldest bar in town. Delicious food, good drink selection. Loved it!! We will be back.

Amazing food for a bar.
I'm impressed with every new item I order.
The burgers are great, the tartar sauce is tasty (I didn't know I liked tartar sauce) and that roasted chicken is delicious and the skin is perfect!
The all sand volleyball court would be great if I had friends, but I don't.

This is one of only a couple places that serve "broasted chicken". This is not roasted, not baked, not even deep fried. It's pressure cooked-deep fried chicken with the crispiest skin imaginable. The 11oz chicken fried streak with brown gravy falls off the plate it's so big. Don't get me wrong, it's bar food, most of it fried, but very good. The sides are questionable, the green beans are from a can and the coleslaw doesn't seem homemade, but the broasted chicken and the chicken fried steak are worth visiting this local dive that has been operated by the same owners since 1970. The decor and feel are reminiscent of "Cheers" and there is a loyal clientele that add to that feeling. If you're in the mood for some good pub grub and a pint, check out Maxwell House.
