I can't imagine this park getting anything other than a 1 Star. The city of Seattle should be ashamed. I came here one day to check it out and it's full of huge piles of trash. I'm not kidding, old used diapers, mattresses and a TON of used needles. Im an able bodied construction worker conceal caring a 🔥💪 and I still felt unsafe. Tents everywhere amongst the debris. It's like a a 3rd world country, I attached pictures in case you don't believe me.

At the top of MacLean Park, there is a fantastic viewpoint which gives you great views of Lake Union, Cascade Mountains, including I think Mt Baker. It is a great place to watch the 4th of July fireworks, as locals come and sit on the ground, bring chairs, it fills up with about 50 people.... One of the best places in all of the city to watch the fireworks. Forget gasworks, come here- why deal with the massive crowds when you can see them from here with a small group of people. You might not want to wander the trails down the hillside though, there are numerous homeless encampments stretching down to Aurora Ave...
