This restaurant was recommended by the hotel as a great steak. Very disappointed in the quality of the steak and Prime Rib. I have chewed on leather that was more tender than the Prime Rib. While the service was fairly decent the sides were at best mediocre and the bread came at the end of our meal as the waiter advised he tried twice and didn't get any for us. The drinks were the best part as they helped wash down the gristle in the steak spent $ 200 dollars and frankly the Cattlemans was much better and much cheaper.
Don't waste your money on this place as I now think the owner pays to get good reviews.

I wanted it to be good, I really did, and I was in the mood for a great steak. But I left with only disappointment and head-shaking. We happened to be seated next to a limo-driven group of eight middle-aged tourists wearing shorts and diamonds. They were drunk and disorderly. The front desk people said there was nothing they could do, but there were several things they might have done, like speak pleasantly to them about their noisy college-kids-on-a-break behavior. They might have moved us. There were tables open. So the ambience gets zero stars. Now about the food: Most of the steaks were ten to sixteen ounces, and most people I know can't eat that much meat. So I ordered the only option left, a surf-and-turf with a 6-oz. malformed filet and 3 medium prawns, both so over-seasoned, over-salted and garlicky that I tasted almost nothing except the seasonings. The side had similar problems. The price was far too high for what you get, the service was indifferent, and we all vowed never to return.

Best....REALLY THE BEST happy hour in Sonoma County. Bar menu is excellent! Drinks are really good! Love this place.

If its a hot day, rethink dining here. The AC in the old building isn't efficient. Of course the fireplace being on when its 95 degrees doesn't help. The bar is much cooler.
