Beautiful restaurant in old Victorian style. Ask for a table in the main dinning room if you really want to experience the classy atmosphere. We were seated in the covered porch area, which completely takes away the elegant dinning athmosphere.
I had lunch here before and dinner last night.
Lunch took place in the main dining room and it was a lovely experience.
We had the burrata first which was fresh and creamy
Second was the carbonara which had a nice homemade sauce.
Deserts recommended are the chocolate cake and the cannelloni.
Last night's dinner was very disappointing.
First, because of the seating in the back room which looked cheaply decorated and had a storage with a curtain in the corner.
Second was the food
I had the house smoked salmon with fennel and arugula salad. The dish was very bland, the fennel seemed to be blanched and had no taste, the salmon was thin and wrapped in mozzarella which made it tasteless.
Then I had the clams in tomato and saffron sauce, but I could not detect the saffron.
Deserts were: puffed pastry, creme brûlée and the chocolate cake. The puff pastry was hard and dry and the creme brûlée was a flan style disc out of the usual ceramic dish.
The chocolate cake was wonderful.
Recommended food: the burrata, carbonara and the chocolate cake or cannelloni.

Wine(zin) was not good when I talked to server about how it tasted he told me it was supposed to taste that way (in your face burn all the way to your nose strong)
Paid an excessively large amount for really disappointing food :(

Great historic restaurant. As we were walking in, one wedding reception was over and another one was starting. It was nice to watch happy brides and dressed up kids. Lots of flowers. Waiters were rushing to get reset the tables. We sat in the lovely bar as they got out table ready. Fantastic atmosphere and surroundings. Food looked great.
