I can't believe they discriminate on age!! My son is 10 who is a very cooperative little boy. I was told by the woman who answered the phone they don't take children over 8! Who does that!! Absolutely ridiculous!

Dr. Hodges is amazing. He is the dental kid whisperer. He manner is not overly sappy or silly, he is just straight forward in his gentleness, and extremely efficient while at the same time patient. My son, who tends towards anxiety especially with new things, was absolutely comfortable with Dr. Hodges after about 1 minute. We have been going to him for 6 years now and I am continually impressed!

I brought my daughter to another pediatric dentist who essentially wanted to do 5000$ dollars worth of surgery and completely anesthetize my daughter. This was due to her being uncooperative with this other dentist. Dr Hodges used his gentle manner and lifetime of skill to get my daughter to cooperate. Instead of a 5000$ bill and general anesthesia. We got a 50$ bill and no anesthesia and a daughter who doesn't mind going to the dentist. Let him know if he should take some extra time with an uncooperative child and he'll take the time to make them comfortable. Other dentists in the Santa Rosa area, specifically Dr Van Cleeve, could learn a lot from Dr Hodges bedside manner and reasonable, progressive approach to dentistry.
