Dr. Thomas is the best dentist I have ever had. I just had several cavities filled by him on separate visits and he is able to make it so that you feel very little pain when given shots (or sometimes no pain). He takes his time and has a special technique of giggling your cheek so that you literally do not even feel pain. Perfect dentist for my 6 year old! I will always request him for my family dentist.

Absolutely love gentle dental. They went above and beyond all my expectations. And my expectations are pretty high. They helped me and work with me, with all my dental and financial needs. Gave me all the info I needed and well, they are awesome.

This was once a fairly decent facility but it has spiraled into the toilet. The staff who once knew how to do correct billing all gladly got away from this place themselves. Most of the good dentist's left as well. There's been a steady stream of office manager's that couldn't manage their way out of a dark bathroom if you gave them a road map, a flashlight and a head start! This included the current ding dong, bing bong!

So upset with their billing and coding! My husband and I have double coverage on dental and my husband was told he would need 4 crowns. Because we are double covered I requested that we bill each insurance for 1 crown to ensure that both would be fully covered with a possible small portion needing to be paid by us back in Sept. 2016. Everything went great at first. Work was done quickly, dentist was really nice etc. Fast forward to April of 2017 my husband goes in for a cleaning and his 3rd crown. When they're done with the prep work he's notified that we owe them almost $500, $277 from his previous crown in 2016 and the remaining for his current crown. Because I wasn't there and didn't have all my paperwork with me it was hard to dispute it, but I knew being double covered we shouldn't be paying anything. I agree to go ahead and pay half the cost the day of the prep and the remainder after the crown.

The day before the crown was done the office calls and I question one of the girls about the charges telling her I'm positive we shouldn't owe anything and that after talking to both our insurance companies the crown would be covered fully. The rep kept telling me we had some previous $277 balance and I kept saying I had a bill from the insurance company stating we only owed $24 of that $277. After going round and round about the double coverage the rep realized that YES I am right, that the crown to be done in May would be FULLY covered by our insurance. Obviously whatever the primary doesn't pay the secondary would! A crown is not that expensive and would NOT max out our coverage. And in fact the rep told me we would still have some money left over for the 4th crown and that we would be paying around $260 if we decided to get it done!

So a week goes by and I hear nothing from them regarding a refund for the pre payment I made thinking we owed for previous services. I call Monday and talk with the same rep, I email her over the explanation of benefits showing my husbands primary paid a portion of the $277 balance but that his secondary did not pay anything and that we owed $24.49. Not the $277 the dentist office keeps referring to. The rep tells me the EOB is from this year, I clearly tell her "look at the date of services it says 9/19/16" strike one, then I ask for a call back once she talks to the billing dept. who they wouldn't give me any information on or speak to. She calls back, well it says on the EOB that they didn't cover it, correct MY insurance didn't but his primary paid $252.51, it's right there on the EOB. So now I am having to get the EOB from my husbands primary dental insurance just to prove that they paid $252.51! It's obvious it was paid, how would his secondary insurance know that they paid $252.51 and I was left owing $24.49! All I want is my money back! It's obvious they made a huge mistake and instead of owning up to it they're just going round and round with it, every time I call and talk with the same rep it's a different story about what's going on!

Important reading ahead. I used to like this place as they employed a great dentist that has since moved on to a new office. Since then, things have gone downhill. They currently do not have an office manager. Furthermore, I had a root canal/crown done there less than 2 years ago that broke completely off. The new dentist looked at it for literally 30 sec and told me to pull it and get an implant. This was my only choice he said as he hurried off to lunch. I took my crown back (luckily) and got a second opinion. Lets just say that crown is back in my mouth a few days later. no extraction, no $2000 implant etc.
I hope I have saved you money and time by avoiding this place.
