Only been there 4 times, Mother's Day and Easter Sunday. Twice each. By far the best Brunch I've ever been too. I'd rate it a 10 if you had the stars, It's just the best

Pillows and bed are also from 1917 apparently. I called the front desk to see if we could get normal pillows and not the throw pillows they had in our suite. The lady mentioned that it would be nice if they had actual bed pillows and that it wasn't the first time she heard this complaint. She said when she HAD to stay at the hotel herself it helped to fluf them up a bit so they aren't so rock hard. Not worth the money we paid at all. Could be a nice place with some basic improvements.

Professional staff. Everyone smiles and says hello from the gardeners to employees leaving work for the day. We love this relaxing hotel. Beds are comfortable with an abundance of pillows. Pool and hot tub are excellent.

A Hotel with a rich history, well cared for courtyards, a rose garden, a pool, and hot tub. A coffee shop, bar with live music, and a restaurant. Yes the rooms date back to 1917 and if you are looking for modern go elsewhere. I had the best time. The celebrities who stayed here are a who is who of Hollywood and their names decorate the respective room doors. Rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable.

My husband and I stayed the night here and had a blast! The charm of this place is awesome. We stayed in the "original inn" and it was fun walking down the hallway and seeing stars on doors with names of celebrities who had stayed in those rooms (Clark Gable was my favorite). The room was old-fashioned but very clean, and old fashioned is what you want staying somewhere like this anyway. Our room faced the garden and pool and it was gorgeous. Would recommend this palce to anyone looking for a place to stay in Santa Maria.
