This is not your ordinary theater -- the interior decor is such that you feel you are seated in a Spanish courtyard watching a show under the stars! This is our favorite place in Santa Barbara to see a movie!

Great old venue. Well kept up. There isn't a bad seat assnywhere in the place. Perfect for intimate concerts or plays

Great theater, clear perfect acoustics.
Air conditioning failed due to extremely hot weather.
Otherwise five stars.

I have been at the Arlington Theater before and had a great time. On 10/25 I surprised my husband with Joe Bonamassa tickets. The theater unfortunately had no air conditioning. The employees said that it broke sometime ago. It was 100 degrees in Santa Barbara that day. No air in the theater made it very hot. They also shut down the concession stand and bars early so you couldn't get bottles water. Very disappointing. I would call to see if they fixed the AC before buying any tickets in the future.

Positives: nice atmosphere, smaller more intimate venue, lots of staff/ushers to answer questions. Sound is good in the hall. Seats are okay.
Negatives: Some bars only serve beer, some serve liquor and beer. It is confusing and there is NO signage as to which is which. So it was frustrating waiting in line to find out it was the wrong bar. Bathrooms aren't very clean.
