At the prompt of a friend, I made an appointment. Was reminded via text twice of my appointment and confirmed. Fifteen minutes before my appointment the stylist called and canceled, said that she was going home sick. Since I had just parked I walked in to reschedule. The stylist was just starting a color job with another client. I see. When I asked the receptionist to reschedule she went in the back room with the sick stylist and when she returned they mysteriously didn't have any openings. I walked away with a strong feeling of go away and don't come back. I forgot how lower Haight was so not about customers.

Personally, as an out-and-out weirdo, I feel that Edo Salon presents a welcoming balance of classic meets trendy.
The stylists always possess a level of warm neutrality at this professionally laid-back establishment. The design of the salon gives it a fluid atmosphere. The folks at Edo keep their clients in very safe, skillful hands.
I've had my hair done by Jillian many times. Her process is collaborative, non-judgmental, and delightfully passionate.
P.S. There is complimentary wine, tea, and a restroom stocked with Poo-Pourri 😉
Always a joy to be at Edo!

Great atmosphere. Stylists are well trained and undergo higher education for color/styling often. Had a balayage done with organic dye and loved it. My stylist was Gabi and she was awesome.

I really like this salon, very cute, very professional, nice vibe, a little pricey. I first went pink at this salon, and Alx was a dream -- she hand painted my hair like a master! I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

I got a bad hair cut and came here for a fixer cut. Corinna did a great job and knew exactly what to do intuitively. The salon atmosphere was great. Classy and whimsical.
