I almost don't want to let the secret out on this place because it is a hidden gem! Not only are they cleaner than most nail salons, but they're nicer, more organized, and most importantly they do great work! Their manicures are meticulous, and I find they last longer than when I get them done elsewhere. Might cost a couple dollars more than the average salon, but its worth it.

I was excited to try Neva for brazilian sugaring given the reviews and my positive experience with sugaring in the past but found her disappointing. Part of the awesomeness of sugaring is the minimal irritation to the skin since the therapist doesn't (or shouldn't) have to go over the same section more than once given the effectiveness of the sugar mixture. Neva skimped on the mixture and tried to stretch a fraction of what is normally used such that she had to go over the same sections multiple times. Hair grows back slower when sugared as it's removed from the roots. Because too little mixture was used, Neva left broken hairs meaning that this job will not last as long as previous sugaring. She also covered small sections at a time with her measly strips of mixture such that she had to apply and pull 25+ times - ouch! My last sugaring therapist (in Seattle unfortunately) got it all in 3-4 pulls, no tweezing needed - beautiful!

She also tried to sell me other services 3 times and told me that I "can come here now to get everything done" during our 20-minute appointment. She wanted to show me the eyelash extension work done at her salon and at the end of the session, pulled the curtain open next to me to reveal a startled and unsuspecting client for me to oggle her lash job; not cool and not professional. I felt bad for the bleary-eyed and blotchy chick, quickly ooh'd and ahh'd and rushed away to restore her to her privacy.

She charges $65 ($55 for new clients, hence the 2 stars instead of 1). I'd pay the extra $10 to go somewhere more professional where they don't skimp on the products used (come on people, sugar and water cost nothing, I've made it myself at home), therapists have better technique and don't try to push other services on you nor put other clients on display during their treatment for the sake of advertisement.

Neva eva again!
