I arrived late due to my meetings running long. The front desk told me that they had to change my room and apologized. They gave me a room was quite nice with a massive balcony overlooking the bay. It was great to wake up and have breakfast looking over the bay. Such great service and a nice hotel.

Great location. Close to water front. Just had drinks on a nice day on the patio. Was very nice.

Visited Hotel Vitale for a professional mixer and was in one of the 7th floor rooms that had a rooftop patio. Had excellent views of the embarcadero as well of the Fleet Week airshow practice that was happening. Food was also excellent, the crab cakes with the sauce was phenomenal as was the pizza. Sorry can't remember the official names. I've been to plenty of hotels with catered food and appetizers and Hotel Vitale is definitely on the top 10.

It's pricey considering how dated some of the room features are. If you are here on vacation then maybe it wouldn't feel so bad. I will say, the food here is great.
As someone who spends a large portion of their life in hotels, I feel confident in saying, without an update in the near future Vitale will soon become irrelevant.

Service is excellent. Room is clean with a wonderful view of the port and bay bridge. Restaurant patio downstairs can get a bit noisy, but winds down later in the evening.
