It is now my favorite restaurant in the city. The service is great very accommodating, and the concept is really appreciable. I had a very good impression about the food it was just superb!!
It is a good spot for dates too. I think this is the most wonderful restaurant in San Francisco.
As a tourist, I really recommend this restaurant to visitors it is worth of your time.

Great food. A bit salty for my taste. Liked that we could share all the plates, although the portions are quite small. Service was a bit slow but to be fair it was busy at the time.

Best dinner ever!!! Worth the wait. Love the idea of dim sum style service. Food is fresh, unique and incredibly tasty. Service was top notch.

I don't how else I can express my satisfaction. People, go to State Bird w/ an empty stomach! You're gonna regret it if you can't try them all. The use of soy sauce and sesame makes the dishes semi-Asian, we saw a great deal of Japanese character in it. The ingredients was uniquely put together to create an ingenious taste to pamper your tastebuds. Next time, we'll bring more friends w/ us, hopefully we'll get to have one more round of EVERYTHING.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. A dimsum-like style where you select small dishes from a cart that change on a regular basis. A great place to take friends and family visiting the city. If you don't score reservations, you can line up outside for a walk in, but be prepared to get their at least a half hour before they open otherwise you won't be seated.
