Tried a slice of this pizza the other day (cold too) and it was mesmerizing. A taste of Korea and Italy put together creatively and baked to a crisp. I really liked how non-greasy the dough was and the toppings tasted uber fresh. I want to go back right now.....

The very closest thing in San Francisco I've discovered for New York style pizza. Great crust. Great sauce. They get things nice and hot in the oven if you order a slice. It's designed more for a quick stand up slice . There's only two small tables and some bar seating. Don't expect warm and fuzzy from the staff. They seem very busy and have no time to chat or smile.

Favorite pizza in SF -- and I'm originally from New York. Great crust, sauce, cheese. Is it perfect every time? Nope -- depends upon who's making it, and I do think mgmt needs to implement more quality control on that for the sake of consistency. But taste-wise, always good, most of the peeps behind the counter are friendly, decent pricing, so they still get 5 stars from me.

As far I'm concerned, Marcello's Pizza is one of the best by-the-slice or by-the-pie pizza shops in San Francisco. The crusts are a great combination of crusty and yeasty. They offer wide variety of toppings, from vegetarian to meat-loaded. The staff members are friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable.
