Nice and friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and great wine menu. The parmigiana was incredible. Recommended

Pretty mediocre overall. We were walking around the Castro and got hungry and had read something about this on chowhound (first mistake) so we tried it. Eggplant appetizer was OK, small portion for $14 and average flavor, passable. Pasta entrees were poorly cooked and flavorless. Also small portions. Service was slow and confused. It was on Labor Day but still would've hoped for a minimal effort.

We've been going here off and on for 9 years and it's been a mixed bag. We wouldn't go but for the lack of decent dining in the Castro, which they count on. Tonight, after (long delayed) drinks and appetizers, we asked about our entrees, and apparently, the order didn't go in. There was no apology or offer to do anything about it. Like zero concern. We paid our $85 tab and left. Won't be back.

Perfect date night location. Lovely staff and cozy atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Extensive wine list with great bottles for all price points. The tiramisu was divine.

The food is fresh and well prepared. Everything I've had had been delicious. Not your typical Italian restaurant. The drive iss great, staff very friendly. The after dinner cocktails are delicious.
