If you are serious about the best location to visit San Diego from this is THE place. Mudville Flats has all you need including your own private garden area. Mike and Linda have it going-on for you. The location is perfect and is within walking distance of the baseball stadium and very good restaurants, including Cowboy Star, a 5 star fine dining restaurant. The water front is a short 10-15 minute walk away. The USS Midway, Maritime Museum and the ferry to Coronado Island are at the end of that walk. Balboa Park is a short 10minute UBER or FRED ride away. You ask, Would you return to Mudville Flats, ABSOLUTELY! Say Hi to Mike and Linda for us when you book your reservation.

Honestly the best place my husband and I have ever stayed. My husband is a huge baseball fan so this baseball-themed/old charm hotel was perfect! We went to California for our honeymoon about a year ago and stayed at Mudville Flats, and they were SO sweet to us! They found out that it was our honeymoon and got us ferry tickets and some other cute things for the occasion. They showed us the ropes for how the place worked from laundry, to opening the front door, showing us where the pots and pans were, to parking, to even how to start the TV.
Loved the patios, laundry on site, quiet rooms, kitchen, the incredibly comfy furniture including the California King size bed, the charm of the rooms, management, basically we literally loved everything about it! They also said to us that the next time we stayed with them that we could send them a list of groceries and they would get the fridge all stocked up and ready for us.
Would honestly go back to San Diego just for this Boutique Hotel!

Stayed there last weekend cause we needed a place downtown and wanted something with a kitchen. So glad we chose this place. It was walking distance to Horton Plaza, the gas lamp district, some epic bars and restaurants. It's also very close to the convention center and Petco park, but sadly nothing was going on there.
The hotel room was more like a large studio apartment with a full beyond well equipped kitchen. The furniture was classy and modern and very comfortable. The outdoor space (terraces) were private and really cool. The owners were very nice and helpful with restaurant and bar ideas. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again. So much more cozy and welcoming than a corporate hotel.

When your travels find you in San Diego, this is a must stay. The owners are always around and available for ideas. Great golf, bars and restaurants. If you want to walk to everything, stay at Mudville Flats. Just a few blocks away from the baseball stadium. Love everything about this place. Thanks Mike and Linda for everything.
