I love hugo and the roll tacos here, go and you will love it. Be advised that today 10/29/2017 i found out the orange mexican rice, the corn rolled tacos , the home made chips ALL may not be gluten free as there is only one oil vat being used at HUGOS. I have celiac and so does my daughter and Hugo let me know that if the chips are made in the AM with 'fresh' oil they are fine, otherwise beware as i have gotten sick from flour in my supposed gluten free chips before. The tacos are so good, but apparantly i can only have them when the oil is fresh and not been used prior for flour based items. This is hit or miss there and Hugo tries to be honest about the issue. My thoughts are that this particular resturant should go the distance and get 2 vats, one for chips and other corn based gluten free products and one vat for everything else. Otherwise figure something else out to resolve this. Hugos is a healthy mexican resturant, but gluten free chips are a MUST when making fresh chips. My stomach is bothering me tonight as well as my daughters. I love this resturant, and have been going here for 20 years, but there are way too many persons who want gluten free food without having to worry. Otherwise if you dont have gluten issues, enjoy!!

My absolute favorite . I’m from the east coast and was never a fan of Mexican food. I became hooked here and the freshness of the food as well as the healthy choices, for me are second to none!!

We always visit Hugo's (used to be Rancho's) when we came to San Diego. Huge menu with countless vegan options. The servers are so on top of meeting the needs and requests of their vegan/health conscious customers. Their tacos are huge! They have an incredible salad bar. Also the servers are fast and friendly! Highly recommended!

Great for vegan options. Had the soyrizo quesadilla, vegan fish taco and vegan chicken enchilada, all were amazing. Good price too.

Great local OB restaurant! Although I'm not vegan, they have awesome vegan dishes. I was very surprised by how good they were.
