My husband and I went to Karina's in National City because we want to support our local businesses. Their service is not usually the best but today was the worst we've ever had. We went into the restaurant and one of the waitresses told us we could pick any table, we picked one of the few tables in the middle of the restaurant, we were handed a menu and we waited. As a booth became available we moved to the booth and asked a waitress if she could wipe it for us then asked the waitress who our server was and she said she didn't know but that we would be right out. To make the story short we ended up waiting at least 15 minutes while four different waitresses passed in front of us with not even ONE asking us if we wanted a drink or to even tell us someone would be right with us. My husband and I decided to get up and as we got up, a couple of customers who had arrived after us were being helped. I'm sorry to say this but this is the last time we visit this particular Karina's, at this point we much rather drive a little further for better customer service. I would give it zero stars if I could. Terrible service !!!!

My favorite place for Mexican style seafood in the San Diego area, with several locations. I usually get the campechana or Karina ceviche. Service is very good. I really liked the Broadway location but it is no longer there.

I had the Governorado tacos.they were the best I have ever tasted. Fantastic place to eat with the feel of an island paradise

The place was clean and kind of empty, music was loud I guess because is a Mexican style seafood, similar places I've visited hard light. The server was attentive, for sometime in the beginning but it took a little longer than usual for her to take out order, she was good should replace one of the drinks that my friend didn't like so in that aspect she was good she pleases replacing the drink for another drink, good points for the restaurant in for her, but after. The service was not that great she checking on us a couple of times but Berry took a long time to check on us after we finish our meals it took her to come back and asked us if we want to check for at least 10 to 13 minutes and that's such a long time, the food was good it was tasty only one thing about the a he tuna to status they were very sour the rest of the meals were good. Definitely they got Room to improve
