Seating is limited, but the service was exceptional. Food was tasty too. They were kind enough to allow a girl friend who I had not seen in two years and I to sit and visit for over 2 hours. Thank you so much!

Firstly, I love the area, nestled tightly in a small corner of Gaslamp it hardly feels like you're downtown. Upon arrival we had a small wait and given a menu to look over, the selection was good, even for a guy who doesn't like sweets I have to say there were things that looked tempting. I settled on the Super Biscuits and Gravy with eggs and sausage while my girlfriend opted for a golden waffle and side of scrambled eggs. We were seated on the upper patio and unfortunately a crying child was next to us, we asked to be moved to the lower patio and were moved promptly. The music plays softly overhead as a gentle breeze keeps you cool, just adding to the pleasant experience. Our food arrived, the biscuits and gravy was seasoned well and the proportions of gravy to biscuit was perfect, no sense for wanting on that dish. The egg was cooked over-hard as requested, the sausages were small but I certainly wasn't expecting anything more. The waffle was fluffy and wasn't too sweet, as my girlfriend said, "Exactly what I expect a Belgian waffle to taste like." Ultimately the restaurant was enjoyable and deserving of the notoriety that it's received. Also, the coffee was fresh, strong, and had a great depth of flavor from the first sip to last.

Yummy banana & peanut butter stuffed French toast, hubby had their eggs Benedict. Long wait, but worth it. OJ was fresh, and they have coffee while you wait. Tight spacing between tables. Friendly service. Would come back .

The service is great. We've been going there for years. So friendly. They are prompt and wonderful. Great food. Quaint cafe. YOU MUST GO HERE, but you have to go early because it will get so busy.
