If I could give this place none stars I would. The place is INFESTED WITH COCK ROACHES. I set off 3 roach bombs the very 1st day I moved and 1 week later still seeing them. I HAVE BEEN SUCK THE ENTIRE TIME IVE BEEN HERE. DEVELOPED SERIOUS RESPITORY PROBLEMS after moving in. The bathrooms are infested as well. The manager Tim Is the biggest a##hole you will ever meet. He doesnt give a rats ass about the guest staying here and has the worst attitude you have ever seen for someone in his position. This place should be named the UNFRIENDLY HOTEL. DONT STAY HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT

I give this hotel five stars because of the friendliness of the manager and residents. Very conveniently located in a safe prime area. Pet friendly. Clean rooms with microwave and fridge. T.v. wifi. In walking distance to restaurants and shops grocery stores. Close to public transportation and a wide variety of attractions. Reasonably priced. And very comfortable.

If I could leave a rating using black stars (those that represent very few positive attributes and many negative attributes) I would give them 5 Black stars.

I do not know who owns Friendship (a serious misnomer) yet if I spoke to police whom own this beat I suspect I would see shrugs, eye rolls yet no words about the place.

I got a room here for a couple weeks when I moved back to San Diego. It took a bit of luck to get in though because they don't have vacancies often. The best thing to do is to go by first thing in the morning when people are checking out, if anyone happens to be checking out that day. Catching someone at the office is also hit or miss. But there seemed to be someone there at least first thing in the morning every day.
Once I got a room I was pretty surprised how large it is. And though there is no AC, the large windows and ceiling fan keep the room cool. They keep it pretty clean as well and I haven't seen any bugs.
I wish the water pressure in the showers upstairs was a bit stronger and I found the free wifi service to be virtually unusable because it was too slow. It may have been because my room was in the far corner upstairs or because some other guests were streaming Roku over the same network.
There are laundry machines out back but it's $1.50 to wash and $1.75 to dry, cheaper to go down the street to the laundromat.

So I read the good and bad reviews and decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE! First of all it's not as cheap as the advertise. Second the second you pay they say no refunds including the deposit you have to pay. Third everything is disgusting! Cockroaches and bed bugs! Broken walls, windows and doors. The rooms barely have anything in them and the beds are old and uncomfortable with metal in them. The Manager is rude and gross. There is no parking anywhere literally have to drive around for hours homing someone moves. I'd rather sleep in my car then in this dump, but they wouldn't give me my money back.
