I have had a single bad experience with a waiter who put down the wrong order and argued about it, but they've since changed management. Since than, they've been a fantastic family restaurant. I have had most things on their menu, but their bourbon glazed salmon and broccoli rice casserole is to die for.

Foods ok drinks are decent. Apparently you're not allowed to seat your yourself in the self seating bar area unless it is only at the" bar top". We have been going here for year's and this was the first time we were told "after" we we sat down. When they send a waitress over to us a group of wait staff standing at the corner watching her tell us that was not open seating, because apparently their hostess does not know how to communicate this to the customers.
When we asked her when they started doing this she said as long as she's been working there for over a year. We've been going there for many years never heard of that. About a month later my wife and her sister went and ask to sit in the bar area and the hostess said okay go ahead. The same thing happened again!!

Cheddar's has been in San Angelo for 20 plus years. ..FINE FOOD, Great selection...GOOD SERVICE. I WOULD RATE CHEDDAR'S among the top Restaurants in San Angelo. ....

I enjoyed the blackened salmon very much, and the service was as good. Good decaf coffee.

The food is one extreme to the other. Some items are really good some items are just gross. I ordered the bbq chicken and ribs combo with a croissant and mac and cheese. With a painkiller. The mac and cheese was gross, like noodles in watery cheese. The BBQ chicken was DE-LISH! tender and moist. The ribs were dry. Croissant was nice and buttery. I ate some of my friends fries and I could go again just for those! The painkiller was a waste of money. I drank it to avoid wasting my money. I remember having a signature drink years ago here and I thought it was the painkiller because it had coconut on the rim. But I remember loving the drink from the past. This one was gross. It was almost kind of bitter, not sweet. I'm sure I'll be back.
