Not a place to be after dark. Aggressive unbridled patrons and unmoved security staff who blatantly put patrons in harms way. It appears that the aggressive men were friends with the bouncers. There are so many nice establishments with professional staff in this area, I would HIGHLY suggest going elsewhere.
Ladies, don't go alone.This place is even more 'low brow' than the name implies.

The cocktails there are amazing, either alcoholic or virgin (on request). I went to this place on a week day on a date. I loved the atmosphere, both inside and outside. The service was fast and courteous. Again, the cocktails are delicious. I am definitely ordering a Blood Moon again and I highly recommend the one with Lavender (see the pictures). It is a pleasant place to stay in.

Great German spot in Midtown. Big selection of craft beers from all over the world. Lots of great german classics and specialty beers, even super rare/expensive beers, if you are in the mood for that. I've had liters of lagers, pints of porters and stouts, and every beer (except sours) in between.
The food menu is fantastic. When I think German, I think sausage, and their sausage is front and center on the menu. They serve almost everything with a side of "bier cheese", can't go wrong with that! Everything is on point with what I expect from a good German restaurant. They also get creative with their food and (just like every restaurant in Sacramento) serve a brunch menu on Sunday mornings/ early afternoons.

Food was pretty good. Soggy burger, probably because the waitress didn't get it out in time. Very very slow service. Beers took forever. No silverware or napkins. Waitress became very short with us when she realized how bad of service we were receiving. Frequently visited lowbrau before and highly recommended it... probably not again for a while...

They have 1 Liter Draft Beer from Germany, that's pretty much enough for 5 stars right there. But that's not all, they have food too! I had their fries, pretzel and a sausage. All of which were good. The Sausage though was the standout, it's locally made and full of flavor. Only regret is that the burger wasn't available at the time I was there, so I'm gonna have to go back I guess...
