A gem of Reno, rustic as ever. Food is still great with fun dishes like cow tongue and ox tail. Delicious.

I've loved traditional Basque restaurants since I moved to the west from Chicago in 2005, and a friend turned me on to them. Working on the 2088 Obama campaign, locals told me Santa Fe Hotel was the real deal Basque restaurant in town. They weren't lying! I've since returned a half dozen times over 8 years, often bringing colleagues who also enjoyed it. It was still great the last time I visited in Nov 2016.

We all love the tongue! My kids have fought over it since they were little
Miss the "sisters" but the kids are doing a great job.
