I absolutely love my doctors, nurses, and the lab staff. The only issue that I have with this VA location is the grumpy old guy that works in the business office. He isn't very personable so I avoid that whenever possible.
When I had an issue with someone the patient advocate handled it very quickly without any drama or making me feel ashamed.

I was set up for an MRI and Xrays through the "veteran's choice" program. What a nightmare! They sent me to a local imaging center in lieu of my driving down to the VA Hospital at Mather in Sacramento. The VA has been denying payment and these accounts are now going into collection agencies. My unpaid bills are $329.20 and $671.00. I have gotten 0 support from my clinic at Redding, CA. Nobody answers the phone, Tri-West is unreachable, anyone with authority to help fix this problem are unreachable. I have worried, been stressed to the max, deeply depressed and NO ONE AT THE VA seems to care. My advice to veterans, "DO NOT use the "Veteran's Choice" card or you may end up in a situation like mine. I wish I had driven down to Sacramento for the scans and should not have agreed to the suggestion that I could get them done here locally and saved some gas.

Once you get use to the new appointment system it works out. Thankful to have a VA facility in my area.
Remember urgent care is open Monday through Friday only.

Very difficult to get a hold of anyone. No emails listed on website, and main number is not correlated with an operator only voicemail. My grandmother cannot transport my rapidly declining grandfather easily, and he is in need of medical care, however, no one from the VA clinic will return a phone call.

They always take good care of me. So thankful for the VA. It has saved my life many times
